Many of our guests comment on how wonderful it is to see the same faces on returning visits. Some of our team have been with us for a very long time and delight in sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for this fabulous region.
In addition to many of the provençal natives, each year we welcome young talented people from around the world who come to Provence to refine their skills and range of experience … and enjoy a few months of sunshine!
Sébastien, originally from Calvados, joined Hotel Crillon le Brave as General Manager in 2012. For many years he has been the Director of well known Michelin starred restaurants such as l'hostellerie de l'Abbaye de La Celle in Provence (Ducasse) and l'hôtel de Crillon in Paris.
Jérôme joined us at the beginning of our 2013 season. He trained with Philippe Jourdin and Jean-Denis Rieubland who are both highly skilled and recognised chefs within the industry. Later on in his career he re-joined Jean-Denis Rieubland as his Sous-Chef at the Negresco in Nice and together they obtained two Michelin stars. He is a great lover of locally and seasonally sourced fresh produce and we are all looking forward to tasting his new creations for Crillon le Brave.
Yann, originally from the Vaucluse joined our kitchen brigade in 2013. He trained at L’Oustau de Baumanière before becoming the Sous Chef for La Mirande in Avignon. He then travelled to England, New Zealand and the French Polynesia. Luckily for us, he now fulfills his passion for cooking in the kitchens of Crillon le Brave.
Jessica joined us earlier in 2012 as Assistant Manager and is also in charge of groups & events. Previously she worked at the Monte-Carlo Sporting Club for five years. Jessica loves to take every opportunity that she can to spend time in the kitchen at Crillon to find out chefs little secrets!
Finance and Administration Manager
Christine arrived in Crillon in 1990, having studied international commerce. She has worked with various companies as Assistant to the Directors.
Peter Chittick, the principal owner of Crillon offered her the postion of Accounts Manager and for the past few years she has occupied the post of Director of Administration and Finance. She loves to travel and whenever possible she escapes to new places all around the world.
Nadia has been at the hotel for over 12 years now and is Christine's Assistant. She arrived in France over 20 years ago for her studies and started her career in Nice but has since settled in Provence and lives in Orange.
Iris Le Gars
Marketing - France
Iris joined Crillon in March 2012 and is responsible for Sales & Marketing in France. Originally from Brittany, she has travelled extensively in South America and has worked in Chilli and in England in luxurious hotels and restaurants.
Four years ago she returned to France and settled in Avignon where she worked in marketing before she joined Crillon.
Benoit joined us in June 2013 as Sommelier. Son of restauranteurs in the Midi-Pyrénées, wine and gastronomy have naturally played in a huge part of his life. He studied restaurant/wine management in Toulouse before he set off for the Hotel du Vin group in the UK and then to Chamonix for the winter seasons. Today he shares his love of wine and Provence with our guests from around the world.
Front of House Manager
Laetitia, originally from Italy, joined us in 2013 as Front Office Manager. Her knowledge of the area is particularly good having been brought up in Jonquières, a village close to Crillon and Orange; a town renowned for its Roman architecture and theatre. Before joining us, Laetitia worked in luxurious hotels such as La Mirande in Avignon and Château de Rochegude. She is passionate about languages.
Caroline is responsible for reservations and joined us in March 2012. She worked for more than 10 years near Cambridge in England as a French teacher. In 2003 she came back to France with her English husband and their three children.
Cocktails are his passion! Originally from Mans, he studied gastronomy and bar management and before joining us in 2013 he worked for Hotel du Vin in the UK and also in Merebel and Courchevel during the winter. Sullivan thrives on creating new cocktails to make our guests very happy!
Coralie, originally from Alsace, arrived in Provence in 2007 with her husband who is a Chef. Passionate about wine and French cooking, she studied at a Hotel School and gained a Masters in Commerce. She previously worked as Restaurant Manager at La Table de Pablo in Villars before joining Crillon as Restaurant Manager.
Julien joined our reception team in 2011. Born in nearby Carpentras, at the age of 17 he left for London to discover a different culture and to become fluent in English - he stayed for 18 years! Before returning to his roots, Julien ran the Footstool restaurant which was a favourite for Prince Charles and Camilla.
Virginie joined the team in January 2012. Originally from Burgundy, she worked for a long time between ski resorts, in the winter such as the Fer à Cheval in Megève and in the summer in the Mas du Langoustier in Porquerolles. Virginie then settled in the Vaucluse in 2004.
Passionate for nature, culture and sport, Valérie is more than perfect for Crillon as our concierge. Since 2013 she has helped our guests to plan their days and to make the most of their time to see the best of Provence. The Vaucluse has always been a favourite for Valérie who was born in Paris. She worked for the tourist office in Bedoin before joining us so really does know the area very well.
Kelly is responsible for our Provence Santé Mini-Spa and looks after the well-being of our guests. She left California many years ago to live her life in France. She offers guests at Crillon, great full body massages, hot-stone massages and facials.
Stéphan, our Maintenance Manager joined us over 10 years ago and is originally from the Drôme. He has previously worked as a plumber, electrician and mechanic. He loves rally and motocross.
Véronique joined our kitchen brigade in 2011. Originally from the Alsace region, she discovered and very quickly fell in love with Provence and decided to settle here for good. Previously she worked in a boulangerie but really enjoys being in the kitchen where all of the action is!
Nathalie has been at the hotel for over 20 years. She started as a Room Assistant and she is now Virginie's Assistant. Born in Carpentras, she has never left her beloved Provence. She loves anything to do with decoration.
Pascale, from nearby Carpentras joined us in 2005. She has always worked in the restaurant/hotel industry and now really enjoys working with the Crillon le Brave team. During her spare time she loves exploring the countryside on foot.
Marketing - UK & USA
Andrea is responsible for Sales and Marketing for the USA and the UK. Originally from Bournemouth in England, Andrea joined the team in 2006 with her husband who was the Director of the hotel until 2010. Andrea has also worked in other Relais & Châteaux hotels such as Chewton Glen in the New Forest. Andrea and her husband have recently moved to the south-west of France.
